Building modern web solutions through code, curiosity, and continuous learning.
Starting my internship at Outsoar PH was both exciting and challenging. Moving from academic projects into a professional development environment made me realize how different real-world programming can be. Deadlines, teamwork, debugging, and handling actual system requirements pushed me beyond what I was used to in school.
At first, adjusting to the workflow felt overwhelming, but over time I became more confident in my abilities. Every task gave me an opportunity to improve, learn new techniques, and better understand how developers collaborate to build systems that solve real problems.
Learnings: One of the biggest things I learned during my internship was that being a developer is not only about writing code. Communication, teamwork, patience, and problem-solving are just as important as technical skills. There were moments when errors became frustrating, but those challenges taught me how to stay focused and approach problems step by step.
The experience also helped me improve my adaptability and time management. Working on real projects required responsibility and attention to detail, especially when collaborating with a team and handling tasks with deadlines.
Looking back, my internship at Outsoar PH became more than just a requirement or training experience. It became a major step in my growth as an aspiring web developer. It gave me practical knowledge, professional experience, and a better understanding of the industry I want to pursue.
Most importantly, it motivated me to continue learning, improving my skills, and building systems that can make a real impact.
Projects: During my internship, I became part of the Custom Development team and worked on projects such as the Cooper Web App and Cooper Bot. These systems focused on improving workflow efficiency through automation, scheduling, reminders, and management tools. Working with Laravel allowed me to gain hands-on experience in backend development, debugging, testing, and feature implementation. It was rewarding to contribute to systems actively used within a professional environment because it gave me a clearer understanding of how software development works outside the classroom.
I also collaborated on updates for a Sticky Note WordPress plugin, where we improved the registration process and enhanced the registration modal for a smoother and more user-friendly experience. In addition, we added support for anonymous device registration and implemented a feature that links anonymous notes to a user account after login, while also improving access key descriptions for better usability.
