EM-JAY NERIZON
An aspiring web developer focused on building systems that solve real-world problems.
Starting my internship at Outsoar PH felt like entering a whole new environment. I came from school projects, coding exercises, and classroom learning, but working in a real web and app development company was a completely different experience. At first, I felt nervous and unsure if I could keep up with the fast-paced workflow and real-world expectations.
As time went on, those doubts slowly turned into confidence and motivation. The team was welcoming and supportive, making me feel like more than just an intern. Every task became a chance to learn, improve my problem-solving skills, and gain a deeper understanding of how development works beyond the classroom.
Outsoar PH helped me grow into a better version of myself as a developer. It showed me that development is not just about coding or building applications, but about understanding how real industry work happens behind the scenes. Through this experience, I learned proper development practices, teamwork, and how to use different tools and technologies effectively. Overall, this internship gave me not just technical knowledge, but a clearer mindset of how to work, learn, and grow in a real-world development environment.
Projects: As part of the Custom Development team, we interns were assigned to handle both the Cooper Web App and Cooper Bot. These customized systems were designed to support web-based operations and automated Discord interactions for the company. The applications focused on time tracking, scheduling, and reminder management to help improve productivity and workflow organization. Working on these systems gave me hands-on experience in full-stack development using Laravel, along with debugging, feature testing, and collaborating within a professional development environment. It was a challenging yet rewarding experience because I was able to contribute to real-world applications while continuously improving my technical and problem-solving skills.
Learnings: My internship experience helped me grow both technically and personally. Aside from improving my development skills, I also learned the importance of collaboration, clear communication, responsibility, and adapting to different situations in a professional environment. Working on real projects taught me how to approach problems carefully, manage tasks efficiently, and stay patient when dealing with errors and unexpected challenges. Every mistake became part of the learning process, and every completed task gave me more confidence in my abilities as a future developer. Through this experience, I realized that growth happens when you are willing to learn, accept challenges, and continuously improve yourself every day.
