From Day One to Delivery: An Internship in Web Development

Blog Article From Day One to Delivery: An Internship in Web Development Hi! I’m Jose Rosario, a 4th year BSIT student with a great passion for web development, currently interning at Outsoar Ph. Jose Rosario May 11, 2026 Home Intern Blog Level Up: I Developed Real Websites as an Intern Jose Rosario May 11, 2026 Living the Intern Life Walking into Outsoar Ph for the first time felt like standing at the edge of something big. The company has a culture that treats interns as real contributors not just observers and that pushed me to show up fully every single day. Experience It started with WordPress fundamentals learning how themes, pages, menus, and plugins work together. From there, I built my own portfolio site from scratch, configured essential plugins, and presented the finished product to the team. The Journey Begins Three months felt short, but the progress was anything but small. From building a personal portfolio to managing two live client projects, every step demanded more — and gave back even more in return. The biggest takeaway is not a technical skill. It is the mindset of someone who no longer waits to feel ready before starting. To anyone stepping into their first internship — trust the process, embrace the discomfort, and keep building. The version of you on the other side will thank you. Projects: The work quickly moved from learning to doing. I translated Figma designs into functional webpages, handled assigned tickets, performed WordPress maintenance, and jumped into a rush project including adding products to a live client site. Later, I managed two websites at once: building a client platform from the ground up with all its core pages, while handling revisions and mobile optimization for Outsoar at the same time. Learnings: Working on real projects with actual deadlines taught me things no classroom could replicate. I learned to implement designs with precision, manage tasks across multiple deliverables without losing quality, and communicate updates clearly. Every round of feedback sharpened how I think and how I build and that kind of growth sticks.
